Ex situ preparation Mechanical polishing down to 0.05 microns. Mounted with thermocouple onto a stainless steel sample holder.
In situ preparation Sputter cleaned with Ar ion beam to remove C and O. Annealed in vacuum to 700 C. Heated to 200 C in 0.1 mbar O2.
Additional Information This data set was collected over several hours. The Cu metal oxidized to Cu2O. These spectra are the average of spectra measured while the sample was stable in the Cu2O form.
